Water softener tablets
Do you want to buy salt tablets for your water softener? Then you should first find out about the various types of salt for water softening. This type of salt is roughly split into three categories: salt tablets, salt crystals and salt blocks.
Salt blocks are advised if your water softener works with a reservoir specifically designed to hold a salt block securely. This is usually detailed in the manual for your device. In terms of functionality, there is no difference between salt tablets and salt crystals.
In most water softeners, you can use salt tablets and salt crystals. Note: do not mix the two together. You must use either salt tablets or salt crystals. If you use salt tablets and the salt reservoir is empty, however, you could fill it up with salt crystals. Salt crystals are gaining in popularity because they are cheaper and more sustainable than salt tablets.
